CASA of the Capital Region
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are professionally trained objective volunteers appointed by Family Court to advocate for children who are in out-of-home placement or who are at risk of being placed in foster care. CASA volunteers monitor a child's medical and mental health, educational needs, well-being and permanency planning. CASA volunteers stay with the case for the life of the case and visit the child regularly with the child to whom they are assigned.
