The Mount Sinai Beth Israel Victim Services Program provides direct services to crime victims. Our core goal is to deliver trauma informed comprehensive care to underserved victims of crime. We serve victims during various stages of their recovery- from the immediate aftermath of an assault to the following days, weeks, or even decades later depending on when the victim presents to our program. We ensure the survivor receives accompaniment in the ED, follow up services including counseling, advocacy and referrals, and ongoing therapy when indicated, to support and guide victims toward recovery.
