AAFSC initiatives operate across four priority areas: promote, prevent, get ready, and communicate to achieve our goal of strengthening families. AAFSC promotes mental and physical wellbeing, food security, and family reunification. We prevent domestic violence and child abuse by offering case management services to victims and cultivating healthy relationship skills in youth. We get families ready to succeed, work, and lead productive lives. AAFSC communicates the needs of the marginalized to partners and policymakers. Our free, trauma-informed programs include ESOL and citizenship classes, youth enrichment, health insurance and SNAP enrollment, legal services, emergency financial assistance, domestic violence case management, mental health counseling, parenting support groups, and COVID-19 testing and vaccination enrollment.
