The New York State CASA Association, Inc. or CASA of New York State (CASANYS) provides support, training, technical assistance, grant management, and pass-through funding to its 15 affiliate programs serving children in 30 counties. CASA is assigned to victims of abuse or neglect by a Family Court judge to monitor and advocate for a child's physical and mental health, education, well-being, and permanency planning. CASA's goal is for every child to grow up in a safe, healthy, permanent family home.
