The New York State CASA Association, Inc. provides training, support, funding, and technical assistance to its 15 affiliates serving 30 counties statewide. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are trained community volunteers who are appointed by Family Court judges to children who have come before the court and social services due to abuse or neglect. CASA monitors children's physical and mental health, education, well-being and permanency planning with a goal of every child being placed in a safe, healthy, forever, family home.
