Jacobi Medical Center Family Advocacy Program

The Family Advocacy Program (FAP), a division of the Department of Pediatrics at Jacobi Medical Center, is a nationally recognized Child Advocacy Center dedicated to the identification, assessment and treatment of children and adolescents that report a history of sexual abuse/sexual assault and/or physical abuse and/or neglect. FAP consists of a diverse and culturally sensitive staff with vast knowledge and experience in working with children/families where there is an identified concern that one or more of its children/adolescent member(s) is/are being physically or sexually abused. The scope of services provided at FAP include but are not limited to expert forensic interviews, medical evaluations, forensic sexual assault examinations, psychosocial assessments, school visits and advocacy, expert consultation, trainings, assistance with crime victims’ services, advocacy and individual, family and group therapy and case management.
