Sanctuary for Families is New York's leading service provider and advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence. We provide shelter and clinical services with masters-level social workers, case managers, and medical professionals who are experts in evidenced-based trauma-focused therapies. Our Legal Center's attorneys are experts in the legal challenges facing survivors of gender violence and provide direct representation in matters relating to family law, including matrimonial matters, public benefits, immigration, housing, and trafficking. Additionally, Legal Center staff conduct outreach and training and work for systemic change. Sanctuary's Economic Empowerment Program (EEP) is a pioneering career readiness and technology training program which helps participants break the cycle of poverty, homelessness, and abuse.
