Child and Family Services Center for Resolution and Justice

Our OVS funded attorney services program, the Crime Victims Justice Project (CVJP), provides free, enhanced and holistic civil legal services and alternative dispute resolution services (ADR) for crime victims in Erie, Genesee and Niagara counties. This unique collaboration with Child and Family Services Center for Resolution and Justice (CRJ), a community dispute resolution center program, and two legal services agencies, the Center for Elder Law & Justice (CELJ) and Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP), offers important Restorative Justice, Mediation and Conflict Coaching services in addition to traditional legal representation, designed to give clients a choice and a voice in their future. We provide access to free legal assistance for problems resulting from victimization including divorce, child custody, child support, eviction, identity theft and credit repair, elder abuse, and public benefits. This unique partnership addresses the many gaps that victims of crime face in obtaining civil legal services, and allows for justice for our clients.
