RISE provides empowerment and healing for survivors of sexual abuse. RISE provides services such as a Crisis Hotline with trained staff and volunteers are on hand 24/7 to provide comfort and confidentiality (845)791-9595; Information and Referral, in which callers are given factual information on a variety of community agencies that are available for further assistance; Individual Counseling and Support Groups: professional staff at RISE provides confidential counseling to survivors, their family, and friends; Police, Court, and Emergency Room Advocacy: specially trained volunteers provide victims with information and support throughout the medical and legal process, the NYS Office of Victim Services may be available to help with expenses related to rape and sexual assault; and Volunteer Training: each volunteer receives 30 hours of initial training on rape and sexual assault and an additional 10 hours of in-service training each year.
