Putnam/Northern Westchester Women's Resource Center
The Putnam/Northern Westchester Women's Resource Center (WRC) hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all victims of crime, free of charge. WRC provides compassionate care to survivors of sexual assault through specially trained nurses (SANE) and advocates at hospitals in Putnam and Westchester Counties. The SANE program can be accessed by calling the WRC hotline. Victims can also access WRC advocacy services, for guidance through the court process, including orders of protection. Case managers provide support to victims navigating housing, medical, educational and various other needs. Adults and children can engage in individual and group therapy with licensed therapists who specialize in working with victims of trauma. The WRC also partners with community organizations and schools to educate children and adults on healthy relationships, consent and domestic and sexual violence while also providing outreach to victims.
