The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office Victim/Witness Bureau provides OVS applications and assistance to qualifying victims who are in need of compensation as a result of their victimization. Victim Advocates within the bureau also provide assistance in areas such as understanding the criminal justice process, obtaining case information, writing victim impact statements, speaking at sentencing, and parole notifications. Additionally assistance with interpreters, referrals to counseling and other victim services are provided as needed.
