Society for the Protection and Care of Children

The Family Trauma Intervention Program is a therapeutic, home-based program that serves children and families impacted by all types of trauma, including: child abuse/neglect, maltreatment, intimate partner violence, and grief-related issues such as family member fatalities and community violence. Intensive, ongoing individual and/or family therapy is provided to children and caregivers depending on the family’s needs. Additionally, clients with case management needs are linked with appropriate community resources to ensure that their concrete needs are being met. Our program consists of Master’s level clinicians and experienced case managers who partner with families to promote healing. General goals include mitigating the impacts of trauma on mental and physical health, repairing and/or strengthening parent-child relationships, and supporting the overall health and development of the child. Our services are child-centered, family-focused, trauma-informed, based in evidence, and flexible in nature to ensure that we are meeting the unique needs of each child and family we serve.
