BRAVE (Buffalo Rising Against Violence at ECMC) is a HVIP (Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program) that provides in house advocacy to victims of violence. BRAVE advocates meet violently injured patients being treated in the Emergency Department (ED) who have been intentionally shot, stabbed and/ or injured. Patients are supported throughout their hospital course. BRAVE then collaborates with community partners to provide further case management in a collaborative effort to prevent community violence and to heal the individuals and communities most impacted.

BRAVE is a hospital based violence intervention program. We provide support to all victims of violence that present to Erie County Medical Center in an effort to reduce retaliation, reinjury and promote alternatives to violence. Services include: -Crisis Support to patient and family -Liaison between patient/ family and your health care team -Safety planning -Link to mental health and substance abuse services -Collaboration with community partners -Crime Victims Compensation

The Bronx District Attorney's Office's Crime Victims Assistance Unit provides advocacy and therapy to crime victims in the Bronx to assist them to cope and heal n the aftermath of their victimization.

This agency provides domestic violence and crime victims services for people living in Schoharie County. Services offered include: 24-hour crisis hotline, safety planning, assistance completing victim services compensation application, advocacy and accompaniment, transportation, child care, attorney services, therapy, information and referral.

Our program provides trauma-focused psychotherapy, in English and Spanish, to children, teens, and their caregivers who have been victims of or witnesses to violent crime. We also provide court support, advocacy, and accompaniment to children and teens who have to testify or appear in criminal and family court proceedings related to their crime victimization.

Columbia Greene Domestic Violence provides Non-Residential comprehensive services to all innocent victims of crime including domestic violence victims who are not in need of, or interested in, residential placement. Non-Residential services include individual support counseling, support group, advocacy and accompaniment, safety planning, assistance with family offense petitions, information and referral. The Non-Residential office also provides assistance with New York State Office of Victim Services claim applications and offers Community Outreach and Education. Services are free and confidential and are available to help people of all ages, gender identities, abilities, races, ethnicities, and cultures.
